FEATURES: Maskād® Hydrating Serum replenishes nutrients to the skin. This oil free moisturizer contains hyaluronic acid, the body’s natural hydrator, to help bind moisture to the skin. Hyaluronic Acid holds 1000 times its weight in water. It can be used alone or with a daily moisturizer to provide extra hydration and is an ideal moisturizer for acne prone skin.
Using fingertips, apply 3-4 drops to the entire face, neck, and chest. Avoid the eye area. If using in the morning, apply after active serums like vitamin C and before sunscreen. If using with a retinol at night, apply after retinol application.

As an esthetician, I have tried, so many serums. I have very specific requirements especially the texture of the serum. I prefer serums that glide easily and don’t leave a sticky residue behind. The Maskād Hydrating Serum is the perfect serum to use after treatments. It is gentle, hydrating, and doesn’t dry too quickly. I used it with a guasha, after micro-needling and I also used it to dermaplane. It worked well with any skin treatment I used. It was very cooling and it felt wonderful to ease my sensitive skin. I also used the serum after using an active serum like vitamin C. On occasion, an active will make the skin feel sensitized and the hydrating serum helps to calm the skin. I believe this is a great serum for all skin types and skin tones.

I love a hydrating serum – a refreshing drink of water to balance my skin! I like to incorporate one into both my AM and PM routines on a year-round basis. In the spring/summer months, I tend to spend a good bit of time outdoors and so my skin gets thirsty from too much sun exposure and the increaased temps. In the fall/winter months, my skin is dehydrated from running the heater, exposure to the wind, and a lack of humidity in the air. The texture of this serum is lightweight and pleasant, and it absorbs well while providing a nice burst of hydration without being tacky to the touch. I wish that the formula did not include Benzyl Alcohol, as that ingredient is unnecessary and can be drying and cause dehydration which seems counterintuitive for a hydrating topical.

For an oily skin type it would control the oil in the se um, for a normal combo it would give perfect balancing and for dry skin it would give the much needed hydration and sets the skin up for the next part of the routine. I loved the results from using the Maskad anti aging serum with the hydrating serum layered on top. It is in the sequence of applying these products where the skin reacts in a beautiful way. The hydrating serum itself is offered in two sizes and both are very generous! It is in a dark apothecary style bottle with a dropper application. While is is a dropper, I would advise against following the social media trends of touching the pipette to your skin, rather I would just drop the amount needed into your hands and apply. I found that the hydrating serum and the anti aging peptide serums work beautiful together! My skin looks very hydrated and after the last few weeks of use, I feel like my skin appears more even toned. I do not think this is a product you could over-use, so I was generous with my usage and my skin couldn’t be happier. The first thing that really popped out and made this hydrating serum different was that it contains no oil. As an oily girl, I need the hydration minus the oil and this is the perfect fit. I love the bottle, it’s very simplistic but gives that “med spa” look. I was very pleased that the serum was dense enough to not feel watery, but was not the least bit sticky or tacky. I’ve used at night and in the morning, but just make sure to use after your actives. Despite having oily skin i love hydrating serums because i live in dry climates. The maskad hydrating serum is a thick serum which plumps the skin and feeds your moisture barrier. I liked this serum it was gentle im going to be honest u didnt feel much of a difference between this and the maskad anti aging serum but i used both together. It absorbed quickly and definitely helped any dry patches of skin i had from using retinol. This serum has no fragrance so it was comfortable on my skin without any irritation. I do like it when serums have droppers because then you have more control over how much to dispense on your skin. This serum spreads easily so you dont need more than one dropper full of product however if you want to you can add more without your skin feeling greasy.
