As an esthetician for the last 14 years, I am old enough to really see the development of skincare and I am loving that companies are making tools with results accessible to everyone! A Dermaroller is one such tool that I think everyone with scaring, acne, and signs of aging should have and use! I have used one for years due to my deep scaring and have experienced improvement to the skin renewal process and absorption of product. I enjoyed using Maskād’s Dermaroller because of 540 stainless steel needles around the roller. In the past I have used pens and while that provides the same results, I thought the shape of this dermaroller made it easier to use and provided a more even application, ensuring that every centimeter of skin was touched. The minor puncture from the needles cause the cells to be stimulated into renewal mode, increasing collagen while also allow the skin to take in as much product as possible. These needles did not cause me pain, but you will notice a redness to the skin. I did not have any adverse reactions to using the Maskād Dermaroller. I will continue to use this and recommend this; but be mindful to keep it as clean as possible, it will need to be replaced, and never share it with others!

As an esthetician, I was very intrigued by the Maskād Dermaroller. The roller comes in a sealed package and it also has a cap to cover the needles when not in use. The Dermaroller has over 500+ stainless steel needles that slightly puncture the skin to encourage collagen and elastin production. I used a very gentle cleanser prior to using the derma roller. After using the dermaroller, my skin did feel slightly sensitized but using the Maskād Deliver + Renew Mask and serums helps to soothe and calm the skin. I HIGHLY suggest using the dermaroller no more than once a week until the skin gets used to the treatment. I also advise using sunscreen consistently because the skin becomes photosensitive easily. Always be sure to clean the roller after using, and store it where it can be safe.

I’m an aesthetician and skincare expert with 28 years of industry experience, the last ten years have been in the medical field. I’m intrigued by at-home skincare tools and devices, as I think a lot of people like to be able to treat themselves to maintenance protocols in-between in-office procedures. This tool is a good option to have on hand for light surface priming before applying hydrating and nourishing topicals but won’t have an effect on deeper layers of the skin, as the needles only slightly penetrate the epidermis. It’s a pick-me-up add-on for someone seeking a very minimally invasive skin prep. I like that it is really fool-proof and easy to use, as long as I avoid the immediate eye area. I recommend using it as part of a PM routine just in case the skin reacts with more of an inflammatory response than expected. I also would only use it in conjunction with a nourishing serum and nothing active. As long as cautions, results, and expectations are managed when recommending to a client, I’m all good with this derma roller being incorporated into a regimen.

As a professional Cosmetologist, I try to use the best and most innovative products and tools on the market..not to mention the safest. While the Maskād Dermaroller might be okay for a beginner at home, I really do not recommend using the 540 stainless steel derma rollers. They are cheaply made and can easily damage the skin. I am rather surprised that the Maskad company would even bring a 540 derma roller to the market instead of bringing a roller like a 192 derma roller with individual, titanium needles that will provide better benefits at home that are similar to those at the spa. Should you decide to use a 540 roller like the Maskād Dermaroller, I highly recommend using the roller with one of their beautiful serums.

Having received medical microneedling (and having performed countless microneedling procedures when I worked for a plastic surgeon), I was both intrigued by and skeptical of the dermaroller. If it is effective enough to produce results, should it be done at home? My own experience was entirely positive. With any treatment that compromises the barrier function of the skin, sanitation is essential, so I double cleansed in the shower before using the dermaroller. The instructions said to use the roller with very light pressure until the skin turns pink. With my fair skin, I reached that point quickly with only a few passes per area. I’m curious how the company would describe the end point for a client with darker skin, which may not turn pink as visibly. It was prickly, but not unpleasant. After following the rest of the treatment protocol, including serums and mask, I was very pleased with the end result.

As someone who has worked in the beauty industry for nine years, I understand the importance of a good skincare routine. Recently, I tried the Maskād Derma Roller, and let me tell you, it has become a game-changer for me and my client. The Maskād Derma Roller is the first step in the Maskād skincare routine, and it’s a crucial part of achieving great skin. This handheld tool has 540 stainless steel needles at a depth of 0.25mm. Don’t worry, it’s not as scary as it sounds! These tiny needles gently stimulate the skin and help the Maskād Anti-Aging and Hydrating Serum to absorb better.Using the derma roller is super easy. All you have to do is roll it gently over your skin before applying the serums. The roller creates micro-needling on the surface, which improves blood circulation and allows the serums to penetrate deeper into the skin. It’s like giving your skin a little wake-up call and helping it absorb all the good stuff. It is essential to follow the instructions and be gentle when using the derma roller.

I’ve been in the beauty industry for over twelve years and I’m constantly on the look out for fun tools to incorporate in my at home beauty routine. The Maskād Dermaroller has quickly become a staple in my routine and one that I will continue to use. It’s light, but it contains 540 stainless steel needles at a .25 mm depth. So pain is very, very minimal. I could use this daily with no irritation. I love this dermaroller because it’s easy to use and clean! I can tell a huge difference in the bounce, and overall texture and “youthful” look I have when I’m consistent with using the dermaroller. If you are spending money on skincare I think it’s a no brainer to add this to your routine, so you’ll confidently know that your skin is receiving the optimal benefit from your products!

This, like the scalp massager is SO gentle! I had to check the needles were actually there. I barely felt a thing. Call me masochist but I guess I’m used to feelings so kind of discomfort or sting when using certain products. This one was amazing and very effective. I love also how you can clean it very easily with boiling water. I used this daily on my marionette lines and it helped to plump and finished the appearance of them. I used the mask after and it was a perfect combo to deliver hydration as well as soothing and firming finish to my skin. I noticed a difference very quickly and highly recommend it to anyone wanting to get rid of fine lines and wrinkles. It’s a beautiful device and gives you exactly what you need and that’s it. Beautiful

I would caution anyone who is interested in needling their face at home without the supervision of a licensed professional. Rollers that have needles and are not properly sanitized after use, could cause adverse reactions in the skin. I wish this came with cleansing tablets to disinfect. One fear i have is the risk of infection due to a derma roller. It is a nice tool to use with a light hand and trust that the needle depth is not going to create more inefficient damage that doesn’t repair well. You really shouldn’t be seeing blood spots or feel much of anything, or else it is probable that you are using too much pressure. Having a stamping or pen could be more sanitary since they are replaced after each use and only used once per person. I would consider the Maskad dermaroller to be a nice addition to someone’s skincare routine where they do not have any contraindications of use. I would avoid this product if you have thin skin, prone to tears, acne and breakouts, sensitivity, are using a retinol product within the last 2 weeks. Good candidates will have thickened skin but can have visible texture in areas—especially the cheeks, where the skin is much thicker than the forehead or temples. I would dispose of this after 2 weeks of use.

Ive tried my fair share of dermarollers in the past and while its not my favorite type of treatment it does have its benefits. The Maskad dermaroller needles are .25mm so not enough to treat wrinkles but it is great for helping your skincare absorb into your skin. I mostly used this on my forehead and my cheeks where i didnt have any other skin problems. Using this dermaroller wasnt painful it just felt uncomfortable (like every other dermaroller). I would say this is great for beginners who want to get into dermarolling and then get a microneedling treatment. If you press too hard while rolling on your skin you can start bleeding a little so make sure you sanitized your dermaroller before and after every use! My only other nitpick was that its kind of difficult to take the cap off, the first time i used it i kept popping off the whole roller instead of just the cap.
